Policies and Procedures

Classes and Workshops
Registration Overview

Registration for classes and workshops is done on a first-come, first-served basis.

Course descriptions and registration fees can be viewed online via our website.

Full payment for classes and workshops is required at the time of registration.

Registration for each class or workshop closes 3 to 7 days prior to the scheduled class or workshop depending on the nature of the course. Deadlines will be listed in each course description.

Registration for classes or workshops can be completed via our website or by calling (804) 748-5555.
Cancellation Policies

Perkinson Center Cancellation - For a class or workshop to run at the Perkinson Center a sufficient number of registrations must be received. The Perkinson Center reserves the right to cancel or reschedule an offered class or workshop due to low enrollment or unforeseen circumstances. In the event of a cancellation by the center all enrolled participants will be notified and a full refund or credit for future classes will be issued.

Student Cancellation - No refunds are issued for student cancellations. If advance notice of a cancellation is submitted via email to the Director of Education five (5) days prior to the scheduled class/workshop a credit for future classes may be issued to the account, and in some cases, students may transfer to another class/workshop. No credits or refunds are issued for missed classes.
Photography/Video Release

The Perkinson Center for the Arts and Education reserves the right to use photography and/or video taken during instructional time of students, including children and their work, for promotional purposes. Participants will not receive compensation of any kind for use of these images. By registering yourself or your child for a class or workshop you release and hold harmless the Perkinson Center for the Arts and Education, its officers, and employees from any claims.
